Introduce Copilot across your business with the right licences, the right controls and clear responsibility for your data.
Microsoft 365 Copilot can make everyday work faster in Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and SharePoint. But businesses need more than a licence purchase. They need secure setup, sensible access, training, reliable documentation and ongoing management as users and features change.
Solidity Technology provides Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, deployment, security configuration and managed user administration for Brisbane businesses and organisations across Australia. It complements our Virtual IT Manager and Fractional CIO services, with direct access to senior Australian-based IT expertise.

Copilot services for your business
Readiness assessment and licence planning
We review your Microsoft 365 environment before rollout, including:
- Microsoft 365 subscriptions and Copilot eligibility.
- Candidate users and practical use cases by department.
- SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive access and sharing.
- Entra ID, MFA and Conditional Access readiness.
- Microsoft Purview and additional licensing requirements for desired DLP controls.
- Initial investment, pilot size and measures of success.
Deliverable: A concise readiness report, priority risks and a staged licence/adoption recommendation.
User setup and licence management
We help provision and manage Copilot users through your existing Microsoft 365 tenancy:
- Pilot group planning and role-based licence assignments.
- Joiner, mover and leaver processes.
- Account, application and work-profile verification.
- Access troubleshooting and deployment support.
- Licence utilisation checks, reassignment and cost reporting.
Deliverable: A documented user rollout, entitlement register and operational administration process.
Copilot security and data governance
A safer rollout depends on understanding what staff can access and what AI features are permitted.
Our work can include reviewing or configuring:
- SharePoint and OneDrive permissions and oversharing risks.
- Restrictions for unapproved agents, plugins, connectors and third-party AI providers.
- Microsoft Copilot public web-search settings.
- Purview sensitivity labels, available data-loss prevention controls and retention/audit requirements.
- Teams meeting, recording and AI-summarisation policies.
- Managed devices, Entra identities and access policies.
- Spending controls for usage-based features.
Controls and licensing vary by tenant. We document supported settings, decisions and limitations rather than assuming every security feature is included.
Deliverable: A security configuration record, access review findings and a prioritised remediation plan.
AI policies, staff manuals and department procedures
AI adoption works when employees know what is acceptable and who remains accountable.
We can develop practical business-specific materials such as:
- AI acceptable-use and data integrity policies.
- Information classification and document-upload guidance.
- Approved AI services and agent registers.
- First-time Copilot user manuals with Microsoft tutorials.
- Departmental workflow approvals for Finance, HR, management and operations.
- Output verification checklists, incident escalation and administrator runbooks.
Deliverable: A practical, reviewable documentation pack suitable for your management approval process.
Staff onboarding and practical training
We train staff using everyday tasks relevant to their jobs, not generic AI demonstrations. Examples may include drafting a company procedure, summarising an approved document, improving Outlook communications and understanding how to check an Excel formula.
Training covers correct work-account use, effective prompts, confidential information handling, source verification, sensible limitations and when to ask for approval.
Deliverable: Staff onboarding sessions, exercise prompts, quick-reference guides and adoption feedback.
Ongoing managed Copilot administration
Copilot is not a “set and forget” deployment. Licences, users, agents, model options and security features evolve.
As an ongoing engagement, Solidity Technology can provide:
- User and licence changes and periodic utilisation reviews.
- Security-setting and agent-access reviews.
- SharePoint permission and governance follow-up.
- Policy and training updates when features change.
- AI use-case and business-benefit reporting.
- Coordination with your existing Microsoft reseller or IT support providers.
- Management reporting on risks, actions and rollout progress.
Deliverable: A defined management cadence with clear ownership, documented actions and reporting.
Three ways to engage Solidity Technology
| Engagement | Best suited to | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Copilot Readiness & Security Review | Considering Microsoft Copilot but unsure about confidentiality, permissions or licences | Assessment, risks, recommended settings, pilot plan |
| Managed Pilot & Staff Onboarding | Wanting a controlled first deployment, typically five to twenty users | User setup, policies, security configuration, training and measured review |
| Ongoing Copilot User Management | Already using Copilot and needing reliable administration and governance | Licence and user lifecycle, periodic access reviews, policy upkeep, reporting and support |
Projects and ongoing service arrangements are scoped to your tenant, requirements and existing IT responsibilities. Microsoft licences and any additional Microsoft or third-party subscriptions are priced separately.
Protect confidential information while enabling useful AI
Finance and HR should not be excluded from AI simply because they handle confidential documents. The right approach is to approve suitable workflows, protect sensitive records, and ensure staff use the business environment rather than personal AI accounts.
Microsoft's enterprise-protected Copilot work experience does not use organisational prompts, responses or Microsoft Graph content to train foundation models. However, permissions still matter, and additional agents or independent processing services may have different terms.
We help you identify which workflows are appropriate, where extra protection is necessary, and how to document the decision. We do not recommend unsupervised AI approvals or transactions in payroll, banking, financial systems or safety-critical operations.
Frequently asked questions
Is Microsoft Copilot safe for confidential company documents?
It can be suitable under an approved Microsoft 365 work account with appropriate permissions, data handling and organisational policies. The answer depends on the content, your configuration and any extra agents or connectors. A blanket “safe to upload everything” rule is not responsible.
Can you manage Copilot when another company supplies our Microsoft licences?
Yes. We can work alongside your existing reseller or IT provider, subject to agreed administrative access and responsibilities. We focus on governance, user lifecycle, adoption and practical accountability.
Can we start with just a few staff?
Absolutely. A controlled group is a sensible way to validate everyday use, security controls and benefits before adding users.
Can Finance and HR use it?
Yes, for approved activities such as document formatting, policies, drafting and properly governed confidential workflows. Highly sensitive personal, payroll or banking information requires a separate risk and control assessment.
What if our SharePoint permissions are a mess?
That is one of the first things we assess. Copilot uses existing access permissions, so outdated sharing and broad access should be reviewed before organisational data is broadly exposed to AI-assisted discovery.
Can Solidity Technology handle ongoing updates and training?
Yes. Ongoing user management, security review, documentation updates and staff adoption are part of this service, either as a focused managed engagement or within a broader Virtual IT Manager arrangement.
